Family Dentistry

Family dentistry and preventive care is a large part of our practice. We serve every member of the family, from infants to grandparents! Preventive care is often simple and straightforward, designed to educate, protect and prevent potential problems.

What is Family Dentistry?

Family dentistry consists of your regularly scheduled dental checkups and cleanings. These visits fall under the category of preventive care. We use this time to look for areas of damage, assess potential damage, and provide education and resources to elevate your oral health.

Benefits of Family Dentistry

The benefits of family dentistry is long term oral health. We demand a lot of our teeth, and we hope to use them daily for a hundred years or more. To achieve that, we need to treat them well and keep them healthy. With a few steps a day, and a couple of appointments a year, we can help you do that.

Family Dentistry Procedures

Some of the treatments and procedures that fall under preventive family dentistry include:

•  Dental Exam: A dental exam is an opportunity for one of our dentists to examine and review your oral tissue. Using a probe we will look for areas of potential problems, including decay, breakage, disease, cavities, impacted teeth and more. We also review digital x-ray images to look for similar problems that can’t be seen with the naked eye.

•  Dental Cleaning: Generally scheduled with your exam, we perform a dental cleaning with a professional hygienist. The hygienist removes plaque and tartar from your teeth and reviews the status of your gum tissue along with any development of gum pockets. We use this time to educate on brushing and flossing tips and answer any home hygiene questions you may have.

•  Home Oral Health Routine: Your home oral health routine is the most important preventive step you take. It is the daily removing of plaque from the surface and between your teeth through brushing and flossing. We are happy to provide tips to elevate your routine, we want you to be successful.

•  Dental Sealants: The application of dental sealants can be a valuable tool. The enamel structure is designed to break up food, but it can sometimes have crevices and overhangs that can make it difficult to clean or keep debris out. We can place a sealant varnish material to serve as a barrier in these spots. We recommend dental sealants for all adolescents who have grown their adult molars, and any other patient who struggles with areas in their teeth.

•  Fluoride Treatment: Fluoride is a natural mineral that can boost healthy enamel growth. Fluoride is beneficial, when applied appropriately, when growing new teeth, or when areas of enamel are thin.

Cosmetic Dentistry

The desire to enhance the look of your smile has grown significantly over the past few decades thanks to advancements in technology and technique. We offer cutting-edge technology to improve the size, shape, color, and overall appearance of your teeth.

What is Cosmetic Dentistry?

Benefits of Cosmetic Dentistry

The benefit of cosmetic dentistry is elevating the look of your smile. So many of our patients are looking to enhance their look and have that professional smile. If you are looking for a cleaner, brighter, more perfected look, we can help. Simply elevating your smile can change the look of your entire face. Let us help you brighten the room with your smile.

Cosmetic Dentistry Procedures

The cosmetic services we provide include:

•  Teeth Whitening: We can professionally whiten your teeth both in office or through a prescribed take-home kit. Whitening your teeth is the easiest way to elevate the look of your smile. We use a prescribed gel that can’t be bought in a store.

•  Dental Bonding: Dental bonding is an in-office treatment that is completed in one office visit. We use composite filling material to repair chips, cracks and fill in gaps. The magic is in the artistry to match the restoration with your teeth.

•  Dental Veneers and Crowns: If you want a perfected look with instant results, having dental veneers or crowns placed on your most visible teeth will dramatically enhance the appearance of your most visible teeth. We can make your teeth appear straight, even, and beautiful.

•  Clear Aligners: Clear aligners are a retainer-like system used to straighten your most visible teeth. It is often described as a modern take on traditional braces. Aligners straighten your teeth without the brackets or wires.

Restorative Dentistry

We demand a lot of our teeth, and sometimes damage or disease can occur. When repairs are needed, we can help.

What is Restorative Dentistry?

Restorative dentistry is designed to fix any problems you may have with your teeth, gum tissues, jaw, and bone structure. Having your teeth fixed is good for your oral health, overall health, along with your look and feel. We can help you have healthy teeth.

Benefits of Restorative Dentistry

The benefit of restorative dentistry is your health. Your teeth play a huge role in your overall health. Disease, damage, and tooth loss can affect how we feel and our daily lives. We recommend getting the restoration care you need, don’t ignore trouble.

Restorative Dentistry Procedures

Restorative dental treatments include:

•  Dental Fillings: Having a filling placed is the most common dental restorative procedure. This is the material we use following the removal of decay and disease. It can also be used to repair breakage and fractures.

•  Root Canal Therapy: When a cavity is deep, the infection may have spread to the inner portion of the tooth known as the pulp. We need to remove the source of the infection through a treatment known as a root canal. This is the cleaning out of the inside portion of the tooth and then treating and restoring the tooth. This is a traumatic process for the tooth and oftentimes we may suggest the placement of a dental crown to protect the natural structure.

•  Dental Crown, Bridge or Denture: Prosthodontics can be used to protect or restore teeth following disease or tooth loss. A dental crown is generally used to protect a damaged tooth, but it can also be used in combination with a dental implant to restore a missing tooth. A dental bridge and denture are used to restore missing teeth, they can also be used in combination with dental implants to anchor them in place.

•  Dental Implants: A dental implant is a surgically implanted tooth root system. It allows us to reestablish connection with the jawbone when a tooth has been lost. Once healed, an implant serves as a firm post in your mouth that we can attach various prosthodontics to as a way to restore missing teeth.
